What I would do whan I was in elementary school

Definitely being a student in our alma mater gives us the most significant experiences in life. During this time, we can meet a lot of people who influence our mind or habits, such as teachers and classmates. Also, when we learn at school we know our talents, develop values like responsibility, perseverance, punctuality etc. Achieving every small step makes us feel more motivated to learn more, so our self-esteem increases. To start, I can clearly reminisceabout my passion to learn new things. The first years I used to be taught by very strict teachers. Most of them would use hard strategies to make students learn, especially the multiplication tables. Students who did not want to learn were punished and did not have a recess. Fortunately, I loved to learn, I did not step out of line, maybe there was a little fear of being punished. Reading and doing Math operations were my favorite activities at school. Despite the fact students were obligated to learn I can conclude that we had to beresponsible and try to gain knowledge. Nowadays, Educators and parents need to tackle the lack of consciousness from students. It is high time people who run the Ministry of Education in our country raise awareness and make some new rules to balance the education system. Students deserve success, so teachers and parents should help students change their mind about getting high grades. Loving learning and being reflective what they need to learn is the key of their success.

ACTIVIDAD I SEMANA 11

A partir de la experiencia en la que participaron mis estudiantes de 8vo Año de Básica, en la cual usaron figuras de personajes (con diferentes características físicas) que estaban suspendidas de un armador. En esta actividad los alumnos trabajaron en grupos de tres, mediante las figuras ellos preguntan y responden acerca de las características físicas de los personajes. Ellos aprendieron a usar el verbo “be” y adjetivos. Las fortalezas adquiridas fueron las siguientes: se fortalecieron las habilidades sociales y de interacción como respeto, empatía, cooperación. Las Barreras a las se tuvo que enfrentar es la falta de cumplimiento y responsabilidad de ciertos alumnos para hacer el trabajo. Además, existió falta de autoconfianza y autoeficacia al hacer el trabajo, ya que ciertos alumnos al comienzo se negaron a participar por temor a equivocarse, pero luego mostraron más confianza en sí mismos y con ayuda de las figuras del cuaderno pudieron participar. Se presentó la Oportunidad de usar el lenguaje expresivo y receptivo.
